Not as good as what Calphalon supposes to be I just bought my few days ago from Bed Bath & Beyond since I had a 20% off coupon. I was very disappointed after I removed the wrap completely. First I noticed that the area where the handle attached to the pan above the logo is not polished. Then after my first use the interior became discolored. Also the handle is awfully thin that really hurt my hands while holding it. In addition it get scrached easily. So... why am I spending extra money buying Calphelon???? For those reviewers who praised about their Calphelon they probably bought theirs few years ago. Now some (or most) of their products are made in China and the quality is just not as good as it used to be. So...if you see a really good deal check up where it made from. 99% of time will be China then... think twice before you buy. :2010-09-16 13:32:46
Caphalon Lousy Pan to use This product was one of the worst cooking items I have ever purchased and after only one use on low heat it had burn marks in the middle of the pan. I have other items from Cusinart and others that still have the same excellent stainless steel finish. :2010-09-16 13:32:46
excellent stainless steel pan This pan is a great value. Was able to get this pan on sale for almost half the price of the All-Clad version and the construction and materials were very similar. Ive used it several times and it heats quickly and evenly. Some people have mentioned that food sticks to the pan but that has more to do with cooking technique. We have a smaller All-Clad stainless steel pan and that behavior is similar. You have to make sure to preheat the pan before adding food in. Once its hot enough any sticking is minimal. Definitely feel more comfortable using stainless steel than the non-stick chemicals on other pans. :2010-09-16 13:32:46
Very rough inside surface The inside surface of this pan is very rough compared to my 12" Calphalon pan. Also it is lighter than the product page states (2.5 lbs. in reality compared to 3.1 lbs. stated on the product page). Other things: The handle is too skinny and hard to hold (again compared to the 12" pan) and the 10" Calphalon glass lid does not fit.

Almost to good to be true--- With considerable apprehension I bought the Calphalon to replace a non-stick pan. A previous stainless pan was impossible to keep clean and did not heat evenly so I went to a non-stick which was easy to clean but had hot spots. The Triply being of good stainless and clad in design solved both problems. Follow the instructions that come with the pan. DO NOT OVERHEAT! Use moderate heat add oil (olive oil works fine if you keep the heat moderate) before placing food in the pan and when finished let the pan cool add water and liquid soap soak and wash with hot water. If sticky stuff persists polish it off with Bar Keepers Friend it really works! lm so happy with the 10 incher I now have its little 8 inch brother. :2010-09-16 13:32:46
